My purpose is to make new generations aware of the importance of financial planning.

Hi everyone! π My name is Raffaela Quaranta and I am glad to welcome you to my personal blog! I am a gr. 12 student from Apulia, Italy and I am especially interested in the fields of economics and finance.
Since I was a child I’ve always had contrasting feelings about growing up. On one side I have always felt excited for the upcoming freedom and experiences, but, on the other side, part of me has always been scared of all the responsibilities that would come along with being an adult. Among these responsibilities, there are the social, professional and financial-related duties with which one will inevitably have to deal with after moving out of their parents’ house. Of course, my adulthood is now approaching and, given my lifelong worries, I started wondering on how to best prepare for the future.
Last summer, I applied to the Harvard Pre-College Program with the intention of enrolling in the personal finance class, which combined both my passion for economy and gave me some advice on this amazing journey of growing up. This course, offered by an amazing teacher, was eye-opening for me: it made me realize how little I knew about financial planning and how spread out this illiteracy actually is. I felt more confident in my knowledge of finances and wondered how to forward my passion and subside my worries, and perhaps other people’s too.
After some research, I decided to start this blog. My mission here is to insight people my age regarding the importance of financial planning and give them some advice on the subject. I am planning to do this with my personal experiences, the knowledge I acquired throughout my course at Harvard, readings and other online courses I am continuously doing, to document myself and inform others.
